Where does Mawlana’s story begin?
Mawlana continues a family textile tradition that began in Syria in 1820. The first Mawlana store opened in Istanbul in 2010, followed by expansion to Rome in 2016 and Canada in 2020. Our online journey began in 2021, carrying this family heritage to customers around the world.
What is the current online collection?
The first online collection focuses on 100% silk squares. All pieces are double-sided printed, with a twill weave and hand-rolled edges.
Which sizes are shown?
50 × 50 cm (≈ 19.7 × 19.7 in), 70 × 70 cm (≈ 27.6 × 27.6 in) and 90 × 90 cm (≈ 35.4 × 35.4 in). Inch equivalents are approximate. Each piece shows both measurements.
Which silk square size should I choose?
Choose 50 × 50 cm for a small accent at the neck, wrist or on a bag. The 70 × 70 cm is a versatile middle option with more room to fold and tie. Choose 90 × 90 cm for greater coverage and more generous draping.
How do I place an order?
Choose a colour and size, add available pieces to your bag and continue to checkout to review delivery options and complete your purchase.
Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?
Standard shipping costs €35 for orders below €300 and is complimentary for orders of €300 or more. Available destinations and delivery options are shown at checkout for your address. The free-shipping threshold applies to the value of your items after discounts, excluding shipping charges.
How do returns work?
Tell us within 14 calendar days after delivery if you wish to withdraw from your purchase. If an order arrives separately, the period starts after the last item. You then have 14 days to send the items back. Change-of-mind return postage is your responsibility; necessary return shipping for a valid faulty-goods remedy is ours. How much do Mawlana silk squares cost?
Our silk squares cost €65 for 50 × 50 cm, €125 for 70 × 70 cm and €225 for 90 × 90 cm. Each product page shows the price for that piece.

How should I care for my silk square?
Hand wash gently in cold water with liquid soap. Wash for no longer than 10 minutes. Dry flat. Use a garment steamer on a low-temperature setting.
Will my bag and favourites be saved?
Your bag is managed by Shopify for shopping and checkout. Your favourites are saved separately in this browser on this device when local storage is available. Favourites do not sync to your account or another device.
