This notice explains how personal data is used when you visit Mawlana, contact us, subscribe to our emails, manage an account or place an order.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Nana Internazionale S.R.L, VAT number 18186491009, which operates Mawlana. For privacy requests, contact info@mawlana.us or +39 324 606 8349. Our correspondence address is Via Frattina 86, 00187 Roma RM, Italy.
Information you provide
We process the name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message you submit through our contact form. Newsletter subscriptions use your email address and marketing choice. Accounts and purchases involve contact details, billing and delivery addresses, order contents, payment and delivery status, and related communications. Required fields are identified in the forms; without the information needed for a service, we may be unable to provide it. Marketing subscription is optional.
Information from using the shop
Shopify hosts the shop and supports its cart, checkout and secure account services. These services process technical information such as IP address, browser/device information and service interactions. Our wishlist saves product and variant selections in this browser on this device, without synchronizing them to your account. See our Cookie Policy for cookies and similar browser storage.
Why we use information
We use order, account and related enquiry data to provide the services you request, perform our contract with you or take steps at your request before a purchase. We process records needed for accounting, tax and other applicable duties to comply with legal obligations. Responding to general enquiries, protecting the shop against abuse and handling disputes may rely on our legitimate interests in operating and safeguarding the business, subject to your rights and interests. We use consent for newsletter marketing and optional tracking where consent is required.
Newsletter choices
Our contact form does not subscribe you to marketing. Newsletter signup requires a separate, unchecked consent choice. We manage newsletter contact information through Shopify's customer and messaging services. You can withdraw Mawlana newsletter consent using the unsubscribe option in our emails or by contacting info@mawlana.us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it. Essential order and service messages are separate from promotional emails.
Reminders from Shop
Shop cart, back-in-stock, price-drop and browsing reminders are enabled for our shop. Shopify may recognize eligible Shop users from storefront activity, including people who have not identified themselves to Mawlana, and send email or push reminders according to Shop's settings and applicable consent requirements. These are separate from Mawlana newsletter subscriptions. Changing your Mawlana subscription does not itself change your Shop notification choices. Shopify's privacy notice and privacy portal also apply to its independent processing.
Service providers and disclosures
Information needed to operate the shop and fulfil requests is handled by Shopify and the relevant payment, delivery, communications and professional-service providers. It may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. Shopify processes store data on our behalf for its platform services. For its Enhanced Services described below, Shopify acts as an independent data controller.
Shopify Network Intelligence
Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for this shop. Shopify processes customer information from interactions and purchases here together with information from other merchants and Shopify to provide and improve services including analytics, personalization and advertising. Information submitted to this shop is shared with Shopify and relevant third parties, including outside your country, for these services. Depending on your location, you can object to or opt out of certain Shopify uses through https://privacy.shopify.com. Consent applies where required.
International processing
Shopify's configured data-hosting location for our store is the European Union. Shopify and relevant service providers may also process data outside the European Economic Area. How long information is kept
Retention depends on the purpose: enquiries are kept for answering and appropriate follow-up; account information for the account service; and order records for fulfilment, applicable accounting and tax duties, and relevant claim periods. Marketing information is kept while needed for the subscription, with limited consent or suppression records where necessary to respect your choices or meet legal requirements. We do not retain information longer than needed for these purposes. Device wishlist storage has no automatic expiry and can be cleared through your browser.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email info@mawlana.us to exercise these rights; we may need information to verify your identity. Some records must be retained to meet legal duties. You can complain to the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali at https://www.garanteprivacy.it or the competent supervisory authority.
